Bending wood is a technique that speaks about excellence in crafts, it creates a unique feeling of delicacy, to achieve perfection in this process is necessary a lot of experimentation and daring to create unique sculptural shapes.

We looked into the feminine side of the pieces developed by the Eames couple, to understand their approach to ergonomics and process development to achieve strong structures with minimal parts and a sculptural language.

The Solution

Gracefully designed to enhance the beauty of curves, the shape of Miss Eames creates a comfortable and versatile piece. Created for both, work and play, the contemporary shape of this sofa slips seamlessly into the living room or work space. It is hand crafted in different wood types and finishes and upholstered by hand by expert craftsmen.
